The contrast border – the 'kinari' – is one of the oldest design traditions in Indian weaving. Woven separately and interlocked with the body, a bold border was traditionally considered auspicious, framing the wearer in colour.

Care: Dry clean only. Store folded in a soft muslin or cotton cloth, away from direct sunlight and damp; refold every few months so the zari does not crease. Avoid spraying perfume or deodorant directly on the fabric.
